The first trailer for Sony’s “Gran Turismo,” the film adaptation of one of the most beloved driving simulator games has finally arived.
The movie was filmed in Budapest in 2022, developed in collaboration with Playstation. Fans of the game can expect to see the Gran Turismo world brought to life on the big screen.
Directed by Neill Blomkamp, the movie will feature a star-studded cast that includes David Harbour, Orlando Bloom, Archie Madekwe, and Darren Barnet. The film, which will be based on a true story, will showcase the incredible journey of Jann Mardenborough, who went from being a Gran Turismo player to a real-life racing driver.
Mardenborough made a name for himself in 2011 when he won the GT Academy competition. Out of 90,000 entrants, Mardenborough proved himself to be the best, earning the opportunity to compete in the prestigious Dubai 24 Hours. The upcoming film will chronicle Mardenborough’s journey from a virtual racer to a professional driver, making it a must-see for fans of the franchise and racing enthusiasts alike.
