The studio is in a unique position as it is located next to a waste incinerator, which allows it to operate in an environmentally friendly way and ensures energy independence.
Since the beginning, the studio uses the heat generated by the he FKF Waste Utilisation site. This thermal energy generated by the incinerator is circulated through a steam boiler with the help of heat exchangers to power their heating system.
The thermal energy generated by the incinerator would normally be lost, but ORIGO Studios uses this steam to power their very own heating system. This means that the studio does not need gas or electricity from an external source.
“The policies adopted by ORIGO Studios are very satisfactory, cost-effective and environmentally-friendly. They protect the environment by reducing the emissions and utilising these emissions in a meaningful purpose ,which saves on any extra costs.” – Muhammad Imran Nawaz Ph.D.
This not only saves lost energy but also protects the environment, as well as saves on any extra cost that would be needed to generate energy if this alternative was not available. So, on the threshold of the energy crisis, the studio will not have to worry, as it will generate all the energy it needs to operate.
