Cathy Schulman and Miklós Szinetár to Deliver Keynote Speeches at the 55th IQ Conference
The organizers of the 55th International Quorum of Motion Picture Producers (IQ) Conference in Budapest have just announced a surprise addition to the event’s program. Academy Award-winning producer Cathy Schulman will deliver the opening keynote speech, while Miklós Szinetár, Hungarian director and cultural icon, will present the closing keynote speech, marking a significant highlight for the conference.
Cathy Schulman, known for her work on films such as “Crash” and “The Woman King,” as well as the series “The First Lady,” is a respected figure in the motion picture industry. As the president of Women in Film, Schulman‘s insights into the industry are highly sought after, and her participation is expected to draw even more attention to the event.
Initially aspiring to be a composer and opera singer, Miklós Szinetár transitioned to theatre directing, leaving an indelible mark as the chief director of the Budapest Operetta Theatre and later the Budapest Opera. His influence extended to the screen as well, serving as the chief director of the Hungarian National Television for decades and later becoming its artistic director. 91 years young, with a repertoire that includes 23 movies, over 200 operas and operettas worldwide, Szinetár shows no signs of slowing down. His closing address promises insights from a storied career that spans various facets of Hungarian arts and global theatre.
The announcement of Schulman’s and Szinetár‘s keynote speeches adds even more excitement to the already impressive lineup of events, speakers, and discussions at the 55th IQ Conference.
