Tim Blake Nelson is the latest name revealed to appear in Denis Villeneuve’s sequel to Dune, according to an article by The Hollywood Reporter.
While his exact role has not been revealed, his addition means that the adaptation of Frank Herbert’s novel will feature several new A-list actors. In addition to Tim Blake Nelson, Austin Butler (Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen), Florence Pugh (Princess Irulan), Christopher Walken (Emperor Shaddam Padisah IV), Léa Seydoux (Lady Margot) and Souheila Yacoub (Fremen warrior Shishakli) are the newcomers to the sequel.
Tim Blake Nelson has appeared in a wide variety of films, making his Marvel Universe debut as Dr. Samuel Sterns, aka The Leader, in “The Incredible Hulk”. He also appeared in southern comedy “O’ Brother Where Art Thou?”, playing an escaped convict alongside George Clooney. Nelson also wrote, directed, and starred in “Leaves of Grass”, and he has also worked with legendary director Steven Spielberg on several occasions, and he also played the title character in the Coen brothers’ western comedy “The Ballad of Buster Scruggs”.
The filming of “Dune: Part Two”, a large part of which was shot in Hungary was wrapped up late last year. The movie is slated for release on November 3.
