A few weeks after the change in shooting locations has been announced, Fauda has finally started filming in Budapest. The Israeli hit series’ filming was relocated to Hungary due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict.
With season 4 expected to be released in mid-2022, the production of Fauda is nearing its end. Since shooting in Israel was recently finished, the crew was scheduled to continue filming in Kiev, Ukraine, but they were forced to relocate due to the now monthlong Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Early rumors stated, that instead of the Ukrainian capital, the cameras will roll on the streets of Budapest, which now has been confirmed by the production company, as well as several members of the cast – actors Lior Raz, Rona-Lee Shim’on and Doron Ben-David have signed in on Twitter from one of Hungary’s famous tourist locations, Buda Castle District. The show’s actors are frequently posting on their Instagram pages too, making it easier for enthusiastic fans to track the upcoming season’s progress.
