The adrenaline is building as the teaser trailer for Apple Original Films’ F1 has dropped, giving fans a first look at the high-octane drama.
Starring Brad Pitt as a veteran driver returning to the Formula 1 grid, the film, directed by Joseph Kosinski (“Top Gun: Maverick”), promises an authentic racing experience with scenes filmed at actual Grand Prix weekends, including the Hungarian GP at the Hungaroring.
The teaser highlights the immersive world of “F1”, featuring Pitt and co-star Damson Idris as teammates for the fictional APXGP team. Real-life F1 figures, including former Haas team principal Günther Steiner, make appearances, adding to the movie’s credibility. Notably, F2 cars were modified to resemble current F1 vehicles for on-track realism, and the APXGP team had an actual paddock presence during the filmed GPs.
Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Chad Oman, Brad Pitt, and Lewis Hamilton under his Dawn Apollo Films banner, “F1” also boasts a stellar supporting cast, including Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, and Tobias Menzies. The film is set for a global IMAX® release, beginning June 25, 2025, with its North American premiere on June 27. The footage has already ignited excitement, offering a glimpse of the speed, drama, and heart-pounding action fans can expect from this cinematic tribute to Formula 1.
