HBO has unveiled the second teaser for the highly anticipated series “Dune: Prophecy,” which is set to premiere this November on Max.
The series, based on “Sisterhood of Dune” by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson, delves into the origins of the Bene Gesserit and the ancient feud between the Harkonnens and Atreides, set 10,000 years before Paul Atreides.
Initially announced as “Dune: Sisterhood” in 2019, the series has undergone several changes, including the departure of co-author Diane Ademu-John and director Johan Renck. Like “Dune: Part One” and “Part Two”, “Dune: The Prophecy” was filmed at Origo Studios in Budapest, adding continuity to the franchise’s production.
The cast features Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Jodie May, Mark Strong, and more. Produced by Max and Legendary Television, “Dune: Prophecy” will launch with a six-episode first season. The new teaser promises an intricate exploration of the powerful women and deep lore behind the Dune universe, setting the stage for its fall debut.
