Emily Mortimer’s Dennis Likely Headed to Hungary

A24’s new project Dennis, written and directed by Emily Mortimer, is in active development, and production may take place in Hungary. While official confirmation is still pending, Proton Cinema, a Budapest-based production company, is listed among the involved partners—suggesting Hungary as a likely shoot location.

Produced by Emma Stone, along with Dave McCary, Ali Herting, Alessandro Nivola, Lizzie Nastro Adler, Joshua Horsfield, and Viktória Petrányi, the film stars Alison Oliver and Yura Borisov. Stone’s Fruit Tree banner is producing alongside King Bee Productions, Intake Films, and A24.

No production dates have been announced yet, but with local industry players already involved, Dennis could join the growing list of international features choosing Hungary for its experienced crews and production infrastructure.
