Production company Hero Squared is developing the upcoming feature film “Dust Bunny,” with shooting set to take place in Hungary.
The film follows 8-year-old Aurora, who believes the monster living under her bed is a dangerous threat. When she witnesses the creature attack and devour her foster parents, Aurora turns to a mysterious hitman neighbor she’s seen “killing monsters” for help. Suspecting that her parents may have fallen victim to his own adversaries, the neighbor reluctantly takes on the responsibility of protecting Aurora, who already has a disturbing understanding of the horrors that humans and monsters are capable of.
The film is directed and written by Bryan Fuller, with Nicole Hirsch Whitaker serving as the director of photography. Mads Mikkelsen is set to star in the film, with Margery Simkin serving as the casting director. Producers for the film include Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee, Daniel Kresmery, and Jonathan Halperyn.
Thunder Road Pictures, Livingdeadguy, Entertainment One, and Sierra/Affinityare all attached to the project as production companies. The film is currently in active development, with no set release date yet.
