Only a few short days after its release, Warner Bros. announced a sequel to Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune” and it seems like they’ve got no time to waste – production has already begun.
Several sources confirmed that “Dune: Part Two” began pre-shooting in Altivole, Italy, at Brion Tomb, a modernist setting designed by Carlo Scarpa that seems perfect for the Dune universe. Just like with the first movie, the majority of the filming is set to continue in Budapest, Hungary from July 21.
Warner Bros. already pushed the release date of “Dune: Part Two” from October 20, 2023 to November 17, so we will have plenty of time to go celebrity spotting in Budapest. Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya and Josh Brolin will all return in leading roles, and will be accompanied by Christopher Walken, Florence Pugh, Austin Butler and Léa Seydoux.
