DIGIC Pictures, a Budapest-based animation studio, and Axis Studios, a renowned animation powerhouse based in Glasgow, have announced their collaboration on two ambitious projects. Firstly, the studios will join forces to develop a captivating full-length family film titled “Worlds Apart”.
“Worlds Apart” is an action-packed fantasy adventure set in a unique world divided by contrasting ideologies. One side is characterized by rigid order and discipline, while the other embraces a whimsical realm driven by miracles. The extreme ideologies of these factions threaten to plunge the empire into war.
DIGIC, a leading player in the world of 3D animation since 2002, is known for creating high-quality film trailers and in-game cinematics for renowned video game franchises such as Assassin’s Creed, Call of Duty, League of Legends, and most recently, Final Fantasy. Axis Studios, founded in 1999, is a renowned animation studio creating award-winning content for films, television shows, video games, and theme parks. Today, Axis is one of the largest animation studios in the United Kingdom, employing over 400 talented individuals specializing in CG animation, IP development, and VFX.
“Combining our creative and production expertise, we are developing Worlds Apart, the story of which illuminates the importance of unity in a divided world. Our aim is to use this story to inspire audiences to learn about different, often contradictory values in the world, and to be more open and accepting of each other, creating a shared vision of a more harmonious future.”, said Alex Sandor Rabb, CEO of DIGIC Pictures.
As these two animation powerhouses come together, audiences can anticipate a groundbreaking cinematic experience that will transport them to the extraordinary world of “Worlds Apart”. The studios plan on pitching the idea to potential financers later this year.
