Budapest’s streets are alive with Hollywood stars as filming continues on the new action series 12/12/12, starring Jamie Dornan (Fifty Shades of Grey) and Anthony Mackie (Marvel’s Falcon/Captain America). Dornan arrived in the Hungarian capital a few days ago, while Mackie, currently commuting between London and Budapest for a new Marvel film, has just joined him on set.
The main set is located at St. Stephen’s Basilica, transformed into a winter wonderland with artificial snow, festive decorations, and a large Christmas tree—hinting at the series’ Christmas-themed heist storyline. Filming also extends to Andrássy Avenue and the surrounding 6th district, where streets are similarly decked out in holiday decor. Dornan was even spotted filming outside Semmelweis University.
