Joyful moment for the Clooney and Roberts’ fans – the two mega movie stars are teaming up for a new film called Ticket to Paradise, which Ol Parker will direct for Universal Pictures and Working Title.
Ol Parker, who directed “Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again” and both “Best Exotic Marigold Hotels” is probably a guarantee that this upcoming film will entertain a lot of people eager for some true romantic moments. “Ticket to Paradise” is an absolutely nice-sounding romantic comedy where Clooney and Roberts travel to Bali as a divorced couple determined to stop their daughter from making a similar mistake that they had made in their love life 25 years ago.
This will be the fifth movie Clooney and Roberts will appear in together, after “Ocean’s Eleven” and “Ocean’s Twelve”, “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind”, and the Jodie Foster-directed “Money Monster”. “Ticket to Paradise” will be filmed later this year.
It has been confirmed that Billie Lourd (daughter of Carrie Fischer) is also negotiating to join the two stars in this movie. Lourd’s screen credits include “Star Wars: The Last Jedi”, “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” and the “American Horror Story” TV series. She is set to play a recent college graduate who travels with her best friend for a holiday in Bali.
Clooney most recently featured in Netflix’s sci-fi movie The Midnight Sky. Roberts will next star as Martha Mitchell in the TV series Gaslit.
