The sequel to the 2019 survival thriller Crawl is set to begin production in Budapest, Hungary, in early 2025. Directed by Alexandre Aja and produced by Ghost House Pictures and Bread & Circuses, the film will once again bring high-stakes tension to the screen, this time set during the devastation of Hurricane Sandy.
The story follows the chaos unleashed when animals from New York’s Central Park Zoo escape during the storm, posing a new and unpredictable danger to survivors. The script is written by Andrew Deutschman and Jason Pagan, with Sam Raimi, Zainab Azizi, Craig J. Flores, and Greg Levasseur producing.
Budapest’s world-class production facilities and experienced crews make it a prime location for this ambitious project. Additional filming support will come from City Media Park in Belgrade, Serbia.
Building on the success of the original film, “Crawl 2” promises to deliver another gripping narrative filled with suspense, danger, and Alexandre Aja’s signature intensity.
