When Prime Video’s Secret Level premiered on December 10, 2024, it captivated animation and gaming fans with its reimagining of iconic video game franchises. A key contributor was DIGIC, the renowned Hungarian animation studio known for its cinematic storytelling.

Now, they’re offering an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at three of the four episodes they created: Armored Core, Sifu, and Honor of Kings, showcasing the artistry and dedication behind these immersive worlds.

DIGIC played a major role in the series, handling the production of 4 out of the 15 episodes. Their work included a high-energy adaptation of Armored Core featuring Keanu Reeves, a fresh artistic approach for Sifu that captured the game’s distinct martial arts style, a visually rich take on the popular Chinese mobile game Honor of Kings, and PlayTime, a PlayStation-focused episode that will not feature behind-the-scenes content.

DIGIC’s history with high-end animation and world-building, notably through their work on Love, Death & Robots with episodes like Secret War and Ice Age, played a role in their involvement with Secret Level. Having previously collaborated with Secret Level creator Tim Miller via Blur Studio, their continued partnership was a natural progression, bringing their signature cinematic style to a fresh lineup of gaming-inspired stories.

The behind-the-scenes footage gives fans an inside view of DIGIC’s creative process, exploring how the studio meticulously crafted every element, ensuring each frame reflected the essence of the original games while elevating them into a cinematic experience.
