The upcoming feature film Quiet Boy is slated for production in early 2026, with Hungary joining Latvia and Serbia as one of its shooting locations. The story follows Miki, a 12-year-old boy growing up in a non-conforming family, forced to conceal its secrets in order to avoid societal scrutiny.
Described as a psychological coming-of-age drama, Quiet Boy explores the emotional toll of secrecy and fear on a child navigating a world that demands conformity. Miki’s attempts to fit in while hiding the truth about his family slowly push his mental and emotional limits.
Casting directors Matthew Morgan and Melissa Cassin-Stanton are attached to the project, which is still in early development stages.
Hungary’s involvement in the production highlights the country’s ongoing importance as a regional hub for international and European co-productions, supported by its strong professional talent base and diverse filming locations. Further details about the Hungarian crew or specific studios involved have yet to be announced.
