ORIGO Studios, one of the main hubs of international filmmaking in Hungary, has announced the opening of its eleventh stage, marking a significant day in the studio’s history. The new sound stage, boasting a floor area of 730 square meters and a height of 6.7 meters, is not just an expansion of ORIGO’s physical space, but also a strategic enhancement targeting diverse film productions.
Márta Fekszi, CEO of ORIGO Studios, shared her enthusiasm for this landmark achievement: “This is a big day in the life of ORIGO, as we open a new sound stage after 13 years. This new stage offers the same quality as of those delivered 13 years ago, ready for high-quality international film productions in Hungary.”
Besides serving as a secondary location for large productions, the studio is also ideal for smaller-scale projects, like commercials. This versatility ensures that ORIGO Studios can cater to productions of various sizes and budgets.

György Róna, the Technical Advisor of ORIGO Studios, noted the studio’s multifaceted utility: “Most productions use several stages, not just one. Additionally, there are set pieces that don’t warrant occupying a large studio’s corner. This new addition serves as a “supplementary” studio — accommodating smaller set pieces from larger productions, while also being a perfect fit for smaller film projects, or even commercials.”
With this development, ORIGO Studios not only strengthens the infrastructural base of Hungarian filmmaking, but also offers flexible and diverse options for industry players.
