Hungarian screenwriter, director and producer Balazs Juszt has signed with Gersh, one of the leading talent agencies in Hollywood. This partnership comes after a longstanding collaboration with Roy Ashton, who heads Gersh’s TV Literary Department and is a partner in the agency.
Juszt is currently working on “Codeword: Rubicon”, a television series that explores the true story of a Swiss company’s cipher devices, used by over 100 countries, which were later revealed to be part of a covert CIA operation. The series is a co-production between Swiss Television and Skybound, the studio behind “The Walking Dead”.
In addition to “Codeword: Rubicon”, Juszt is also developing other significant projects. These include “Sentinel”, a series about a rogue SAS soldier, which will star BAFTA-winner James Krishna Floyd and be produced by Golden Globe-winning producer Gareth Wiley. Another upcoming project is an espionage love story set during the 1968 Paris uprisings, directed by Peter Webber, known for “Girl with a Pearl Earring”.
Balazs Juszt is well-established in the Hungarian film industry, being a member of The Hungarian Film Academy, the Association of Hungarian Directors, and The International Quorum of Motion Picture Producers. With a strong background in both feature films and award-winning shorts, Juszt is now focusing more on developing scripted series. Signing with Gersh represents a significant step in his international career, providing him with a platform to bring his unique storytelling to a broader audience.
