Feature film “Arsenic Lane”, uncovering the story of the largest murder ring in U.S. history, is set to be shot in Hungary, Budapest Reporter has learned.
The film, which is already in active development, boasts an impressive class which includes Tim Roth (“Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”, “Pulp Fiction”), Jeremy Irvine (“Railway Man”, “War House”), Ben Myles (“The Crown”, “Red Joan”), Sabrina Bartlett (“Bridgerton”, “Game of Thrones”), Annete Badland (“Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”, “A Little Princess”), and David Schofield (“Pirates of the Caribbean”, “Valkyrie”)
Written and directed by Erik Greenberg Anjou, the film is looking to tell the true story of the “Arsenic Murder Ring”, which is linked definitely or circumstantially to 300 deaths. Seduction, poison, a rabbi and mastermind versed in the occult, and a relentless assistant District Attorney, are all set to converge on the Italian quarter of Depression-era south Philadelphia.
Produced by Kornel Sipos, Bill Chamberlain, Dan Kurtz, and Carlos Alperin, the film has a budget of well over USD 20 million, and is expected to have a runtime of about 120 minutes, according to http://gallopingentertainment.com.
